Mist rises from the streets; only a hint of sunlight reveals the new day and gradually prompts the extinguishing of the streetlights. There, at the end of the street, the first bakery is already open! The scent of fresh bread and warm coffee tickles your nose and gently tames your bouncing. You dance, the funky song that had you bopping out of the disco still ringing in your ears, through the door, past the large, steamy shop window with its brass fittings typical of that era. You call out a "Good morning everyone!" to this wonderful place, but what you really mean is "Good night."
The baker, politely but still tired, yet aware of the new customers who are also tired but eager for a treat, hands you your coffee. You politely decline sugar, having already spotted that delicious chocolate treat in the display case. You sip your coffee and bite into the chocolatey end of the delicate biscuit with your now warm lips. The creamy filling melts on your tongue and mingles with the coffee flavors in your mouth… Mmm!
